Falafel is a popular spicy Middle Eastern food made of chickpea. Originally it was a fasting dish of Egyptian Copts. It conquered the whole Middle East by now and became a well-known and popular fast food everywhere in the world.

It's more popular than hamburgers in certain countries. Falafel is generally served in pita bread with salads and hummus topped with yoghurt sauce tahini sauce or hot sauce. It is very similar to meatballs so it fits well to traditional European dishes, even as a meat replacement for vegetarians.

Chickpea (Cicer arietinum) is one of the oldest cultivated food plant. Its 7,500-year-old remains have been found in the Middle East. The most significant chickpea producers are India, Pakistan and Turkey.

Chickpea is very rich in nutrients - it's high in zinc, calcium, magnesium, iron and protein as well as dierary fibers. It hardly contains any fat and even those fatty acids are from the "healthy", unsaturated ones.

Chickpea is the base of many dishes - falafel, hummus, soups, garnishes even alcoholic beverages - also its flour and sprouts are consumed.

Our falafel stands deep freezing very well so its quality can be preserved for a long time even without artificial chemicals. It can be prepared in hot oil in a few minutes. We can eat it as a main dish or a snack.

Our product is prepared by home style recipe with garlic, onion, black pepper and cumin. All these herbs added has a number of positive effects on our well-being from supressing inflammations or lowering blood cholesterol levels to helping digestion. If we consider that chickpea itsef has serious health benefits too than we can see that falafel is really a wonderful food.
